This is another house the developer has rushed to completion, they were so far behind that the decorator was still working in the room above the garage. Ther were a significant number of issues in this house despite the homeowner giving the developer a snagging list with over 100 items on it, before my report as the developer had given the customer 48 hours to submit a snagging list. This is rediculous and shows how bad this developer is. There is no excuse for the poor quality of this house as it was a stock plot, it clearly shows a lack of pride and attention to detail from the site team. Another Quality House or NOT!
This House is BAD another year-end completion from a developer who does not care what state they hand one of their houses over to the customer. There were over 240 snags in this house, which leads to one conclusion, IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO THE CUSTOMER. Year-end completions boil down to one thing GREED, as simple as that. Developers need to stop handing houses over like this one.not all developers are this bad, as I had the pleasure of snagging a couple of really great houses earlier in the week. Happy New Year Guys, here we go again, another poor year-end completion that has been rushed. Having seen some improvement in quality in 2023 I was hoping that developers would stop rushing to complete numbers and concentrate on quality. But as usual greed and satisfying share holders is the only way they know. New build home buyers are at the bottom of the list of priority for some developers. Lets see what this year brings? Look at What I Found
Here we have a selection of this week's snags from different developments and developers. Poor quality control and checking by the site teams is unacceptable, this will only get worse with the run-up to Christmas completions. You have to feel sorry for the new home buyers, speaking with a site manager today he was telling me that he has to get two houses ready for handover the the client before Christmas, the plasterers were working in the houses as we spoke. How on earth are those houses going to be finished to a reasonable standards? Jeepers Creepers
This is a Miller home which has been completed for a few months, the customer received their keys on the 17th of November. I don't know why these issues had not been picked up and rectified well before the legal completion, but it is clear no one has fully inspected this house. I know I keep saying it but attention detail really does matter, yes some of these videos show defects which some may thing are trivial, but if you were paying hundreds of thousands of pounds on a brand new home would you be happy? Sorry for this being a short video, it is from different developers again the finishing of newly built houses is falling behind what we should expect. The majority are silly defects which the site manager should be picking up.
