The challenge

The client rang on Tuesday, due to take possession of his new home on the Friday of the same week. He needed a snagging survey done quickly and thoroughly to find any defects in the new build property before Friday’s exchange of contacts, when the agreement to buy the property would become legally binding.

The solution

Lively Professional Services quickly stepped into action and arranged for a snagging survey to be carried out on the Thursday.
Photographs of all defects were taken along with a description of the location and which trade would be assigned to fix the issue. In total 142 defects were identified. The client was provided with a detailed printed and electronic report.
Having the detailed reports before Friday’s deadline meant that the client’s solicitor could include the list of defects as part of the exchange of contracts.

The results

The builder took full responsibility for the defects and agreed to rectify them as soon as possible, saving our client from having to foot the cost of these repairs in the future. The client was very pleased with the results and left us some fantastic feedback.
